I like how the creator just focuses on the story and story-telling about us(the player/MC) making changes to ourselves and having character development as an individual, there are other games that are similar but this one is a nice chance of pace from the others.
Gotta wonder though if there's going to be a middle route between kate and isabella, since both of them have potential in each of their personal stories. Who knows, the creator might make this game have multiple endings and the most difficult one to get is the harem ending by requiring to complete each girl's story or some other requirements.
Much love for this game and can't wait to see it's new updates and eventually it's completed version.
If you're talking about the "No true Scotswoman" quest I can help - You need to get cups from the teacher's desk, an eraser from the trash, the globe either next to the desk or on it (I forget), place the cups on the desk that can be interacted with an object, then challenge flora to guess where you put the eraser, use the globe on the basketball hoop, clean the bolt off on flora, interact with the bookshelf, then interact with the book you get from it, give the book to the other one (forgot her name), I also forget where you get the wrench but if you have it use it to open the window, go to the caf to get more haggis, then the gym to get a ladder to get back into the classroom. However, with the new update, you may not be able to pick up the ladder meaning you can't finish the quest. If I'm not referring to the right quest you'll have to be more specific when you ask "how do I escape from the classroom". Does that help?
I am having a problem where the use item on the globe is not showing up. I dont know if it is a bug or if I have to interact on something first, but the window shows the use item with the wrench. help please
i cant get a single water bottle, it cost you 100 bucks, and to find money you must find it, but the total money itself is used to get a thing like the tape, the candy for the beaver, and coca cola, can you please add working mini-game or anything that can give you money
For some reason, I cannot progress after the second day. At the beginning of the day, when flora knocks on your door, it is fine. But after that piece of dialogue, where she wants to play video games in your room, time does not pass in any way, and energy does not go down. When I arrive at school, there is nobody there and dialogue for pressing on items is mostly limited to something like "there's so many people here" or "hope the little girl doesn't see me". Any solutions?
I also tried skipping time before that piece of dialogue to the next day or something of the sort, but it doesn't work. Have not tried skipping to after 7pm then leaving the room, but I doubt it solves the problem since in the next day she will appear at your door in the "school" time frame as well. HELP
I like this game and want to see it succeed, so I want to provide a full - in-depth review to provide insight to those interested in the game and help the developers. There is a huge potential for this game to rival visual novels/dating sims even from large producers - though I don't know if the Devs plan on taking it that far.
To begin with, the style. The art used in the game is perhaps what makes it stand out the most among all else and initially drew me to the game. The game has relatively simple character designs that manage to be aesthetically pleasing and manages to avoid the trap of putting in too much detail, yet also manages to stand out.
The core of this game, which is the character dialogue, is engaging with select few personalities. Such characters where this is visible include Flora and Isabelle. This game a demo so far, so I'll focus on some issues while keeping this in mind.
The flirting system looks good, but I feel it turns into a multiple-choice test after using it more than once. A simple way to add depth would be to turn it into a minigame-Esq experience by making it more interactive. Specifically, a model I have in mind would be to pan into a portrait of the individual upon clicking the flirt interaction and have the ability to choose items or parts of the character to compliment. The player would then have access to bits of dialogue to choose to say, similar to the current system with its outcomes. The advantage of this system would be more player autonomy for more interactions as the characters change settings. As another side thought it could provide more possible outcomes or areas to compliment by changing character dialogue upon "Lust" or "Love" thresholds.
Similarly, I feel the talk system could also function similar to the above model to maximize player interaction - with the player picking things in the room to talk about as an example. These suggestions all come back to the same issue, not enough player interaction. The most depth I get is through Event dialogues which makes it a jarring experience when I need to wait to complete Events or run out of Events.
Some smaller suggestions,
A better explanation of how player stats work - explained through an in-game tutorial. The opening scene after the time warp and the scene with Flora's Quiz could work as one.
Prop background characters to make it feel more lively. Right now the school feels empty.
The additional option/mechanic to text numbers you have in your contacts.
Adding daily tasks for class subjects you take to give a sense of urgency and time management.
Add a message to signify the end of the current Demo version.
I also do hope that the final version comes out with more changes compared to the demo. So that those who play through each update can expect new content once it comes out. To make the final release feel more special and that there is more content to discover.
I don't know the final scale of the game nor how you are planning this so, what modifications the final version would add are up in the air. I would love it if you could direct me to information about the final outlook of the game. A separate website to dispense patches could also work.
The game so far looks very professional and seems to have a promising future. I understand it is a demo, but I wanted to voice some thoughts on how the game could be better. The idea of a visual novel centred around going back in time is a golden idea, and there is potential to develop the game even further to make this stand out.
Devs, if you are reading this - good luck in the future. And if you need any help I am more than enthusiastic to do so - I would donate, but I am extremely strapped for cash. I am excited to see the final product.
Hey, thanks so much for the detailed review, you have some great ideas that I will definitely consider. I really appreciate the support and don't worry about not being to donate. That is only for those who can. Having excited fans like you brings me great happiness just by itself.
You're welcome, man. I find it very inspiring that you are able to go ahead and make your dream a reality - English is not my first language but I wanted to express my honest thoughts on this game. Best of luck!
gotta have compromising photo (obtained first day of gameplay, when you meet the gym girl and she falls, dont help her instead go to the nurse and then open the curtains. then take a photo.)
The game engine quality is improving - 1.3 was pretty buggy. The artwork is good and it will be nice to see this game again once more story progress is made. In 1.4 there's money near the water fountain that crashes the game.
You can wait until March 1st when the new update will be available to the public for free, or you can subscribe to their patreon ($7) and get the new update now. This is the only way to get past the crash.
Nurse - don't take lindsey to the nurse after the collision, but walk there yourself (forget the option). Scene after exam - be Kate's spy (side with her during the confrontation)
thanks for the help, i'll go through the game again and try it. By confrontation, i'm assuming you mean the one between Isabelle and Kate during Tour de School.
I have activated the guide, and it's seem I must put a cake, a bottle of brown beverage (some soda I suppose) and an apple in one of the student desk in the English Classroom.
I manage to get a slice of cake, a salted soda bottle, an an apple. But I can only put the cake inthe desk, after that, I can't put any other things in the desk...
Edit: Nevermind, I finally figure I just to put one of theses items at a time, and wait for the next day...
I have 3 started quests (Dethroning The Queen, Art Through Suffering, and Poolside Story) that I can't progress, because they seem to be unfinished for now ("coming soon").
where'd you get the $10? i know the $3 is in one of the english desk. and that 2 $20 are on the bulletin board in the admin hallway and other is used as a bookmark in one of the rooms.
I get the 10$ from Flora. After the "haggish incident", when Mrs L. lock you with Isabelle and Flora in the Homeroom. You can play a game with Flora where you hide something (doesn't recall what) with 1 of 3 cafe cups, and she has to find where it is. If she loose, you can ask her to kiss Isabelle, or get the $10. And I was too greedy to chose the kiss scene :-).
But, I never found the 2 $20 on the bulletin board, nor the one used as a bookmark... I will check again.
EDIT: Okay, so i went through the game again to take screenshots of the locations, and i discovered a 3rd $20 note. Totally to $63 in the first couple in-game hours.
EDIT 2: Okay, so after i actually got the VHS tape, i found out that you can't do anything more after that, due to needing to go to the computer class in school, which has yet to be added into the game, so there's no reward for finding $50 and paying for the tape yet.
Late reply (sorry), you must grab a cutboard, a knife and some ketchup to fake that you have cut your finger. She will leave the kitchen to fetch a band aid.
It kinda feels like I'm being punished for wanting to investigate everything because of the energy/time meter. I think that's sad, because I absolutely love everything else about the game

Does anyone know where to find the wrench required for the true Scotsman quest?
Where do I get cut glass for the Poolside Story quest?

trying reinstalling rn
It's an in game thing. Go upstairs to th gym and talk to Kate. No matter the answers you give, the problem will resolve itself.
thanks a bunch! was looking foward to this
The ladder in the gym, it does not appear the hand icon... how we can get it?
1. In the No True Scotsman quest, win the cup-and-ball game against Flora twice.
2. When completing the Potted Weeds quest, take advantage of the opportunities offered.
3. Also in the Potted Weeds quest, get someone else to do the hard work for you.

I'm stuck in the Short Fuse quest.

Starting The Missing Tapes quest seems to crash the game.
How do you start it ?
I have 3 started quests (Dethroning The Queen, Art Through Suffering, and Poolside Story) that I can't progress, because they seem to be unfinished for now ("coming soon").
But I can't find how to start another.
Playing the 1.1.1 PC version by the way.
I was able to start it.
Now, the issue is... how to find $50 :-)
I just manage to get $13.
where'd you get the $10? i know the $3 is in one of the english desk. and that 2 $20 are on the bulletin board in the admin hallway and other is used as a bookmark in one of the rooms.

damn, alright, i'll try cup game again.
EDIT: Okay, so i went through the game again to take screenshots of the locations, and i discovered a 3rd $20 note. Totally to $63 in the first couple in-game hours.
EDIT 2: Okay, so after i actually got the VHS tape, i found out that you can't do anything more after that, due to needing to go to the computer class in school, which has yet to be added into the game, so there's no reward for finding $50 and paying for the tape yet.
i'm only able to find 43$, i can't find any more money to buy the tapes. Can anyone help?
How do you earn money?
Money is hidden in some places you need to "yoink" it if you find any
What do i need to do with the hot tape? and the phone??
I also would like to know
My guess, though, is that eventually the other staircases will become available and one of them will let us use the tape
How to distract Jo when she is in the kitchen???
Late reply (sorry), you must grab a cutboard, a knife and some ketchup to fake that you have cut your finger.
She will leave the kitchen to fetch a band aid.
It kinda feels like I'm being punished for wanting to investigate everything because of the energy/time meter. I think that's sad, because I absolutely love everything else about the game
They all have the same chin?
